Using Core Moodle Tools for Collaborative Learning

The many faces of Forums

  • Peer marking (The ADBL)
  • Leaving a trail of breadcrumbs (United for Wildlife)
  • Adding experience (IOC Athlete Gateway)
Group work

  • Submitting group projects (Squared Online Google partnership)
  • Chat – literally! (CIPD L&D - Home Learning College partnership)

This presentation will be a series of micro case studies explaining how we used core Moodle tools to get our students to work together, learn from each other and develop learning communities.

We'll touch on how we've configured the tools and constructed the activities. We'll briefly examine student feedback and engagement in relation to each approach.
